Sandstone Vista Consulting Ltd. is a professional coaching and consulting firm based in Kampala, Uganda. We help individual professionals and organisations unlock their full potential through six core service areas: communication coaching, leadership development, professional mentoring, workplace collaboration, confidence building, and professional growth planning.
We work with clients from across Uganda's private sector, government, NGOs, and entrepreneurial community. Our approach combines internationally recognised coaching frameworks with a deep understanding of Uganda's professional and cultural landscape.
No — coaching, consulting, and therapy are distinct disciplines. Coaching focuses on helping you identify your own answers, build skills, and create forward momentum in your professional life. It is present- and future-focused.
Consulting involves an expert diagnosing a problem and recommending a specific solution. At Sandstone Vista, we blend elements of both — our coaches bring deep expertise and may offer concrete recommendations, especially in our communication and leadership programmes.
Therapy addresses psychological health and healing from past experiences. Our coaching is not a substitute for therapy. If we believe a client would benefit from therapeutic support, we will respectfully make that recommendation.
Yes. All Sandstone Vista coaches hold internationally recognised coaching qualifications, including accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Our lead coach, Dr. Amina Nalwoga, holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology from Makerere University and is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
Our coaches also hold specialised certifications in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0), Hogan Leadership Assessment, and various communication and facilitation methodologies. All coaches have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Ugandan business, government or civil society contexts.
Our individual coaching clients range from recent graduates entering the workforce to C-suite executives preparing for board roles. The majority are mid- to senior-career professionals between 28 and 55 years old, working in sectors including banking and finance, healthcare, law, government, NGOs, education, and entrepreneurship.
Our corporate clients include financial institutions, multinational companies with Ugandan operations, government agencies, development organisations, and East African NGOs. We have delivered programmes for teams ranging from 6 to 300 people.
Every engagement begins with a complimentary 30-minute discovery call with a senior Sandstone Vista coach. This call is designed to help us understand your current situation, your aspirations, and the specific challenges you're navigating.
Based on the discovery call, we will recommend the most appropriate programme and coach for your needs. There is no obligation to enrol following the discovery call — it is genuinely a no-pressure conversation designed to determine whether our approach is the right fit for you.
Sessions are conducted in-person at our offices at Plot 35 Nakasero Road, Kampala, or via secure video call for clients who prefer remote engagement or are located outside Kampala. We also offer hybrid arrangements for clients who prefer a mix of both formats.
Sessions typically run for 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the programme selected. We recommend in-person sessions for at least the first two engagements, as the physical space facilitates deeper rapport and more effective communication observation.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is the foundation of every coaching relationship at Sandstone Vista. All information shared in sessions is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party — including your employer, if your employer is funding your coaching — without your explicit written consent.
The only exception to this is if we have reasonable grounds to believe that there is an immediate risk of serious harm to you or another person. This commitment is documented in our coaching agreement signed before the first session begins.
Between sessions, clients typically engage in agreed-upon practice tasks, reflective journalling, or specific professional experiments designed to apply the insights from our sessions to real workplace situations.
Your coach is also available for brief check-in communications between sessions via email or WhatsApp (within agreed boundaries), ensuring you have support when challenges arise in real-time rather than having to wait until your next scheduled session.
Our Starter programme begins at UGX 800,000 per month (4 coaching sessions). The Professional programme (our most popular individual option) is UGX 2,200,000 per month for a 3-month engagement. Executive and custom engagements are priced individually.
Corporate team programmes are priced based on group size, programme duration, and delivery format. We are committed to keeping our services accessible and offer a limited number of subsidised places for NGO professionals and emerging leaders. Please enquire if you believe you may qualify.
We accept payment via MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, bank transfer (Stanbic and DFCU), and major international payment cards. Corporate clients may pay via invoice with standard 30-day payment terms. We do not accept cash payments at our offices.
Many of our clients have their coaching funded by their employers, either as part of a formal development programme or as a negotiated benefit. We provide professional invoices and programme proposals in formats appropriate for corporate HR and finance departments.
If you are negotiating employer funding for your coaching, we are happy to speak directly with your HR department or line manager to explain our methodology and expected return on investment.
The best way to determine the right programme is through our free discovery call. During this conversation, we explore your professional situation, goals and challenges in depth, and then recommend the service — or combination of services — most likely to create the results you're seeking.
Many clients begin with a specific service (e.g., communication coaching) and later extend to others (e.g., leadership development or mentoring) as their needs evolve. We are happy to design a multi-service pathway for clients with broader development ambitions.
Programme duration varies by service:
Yes. In addition to individual coaching, we offer group coaching circles (4–8 participants with shared professional contexts), public workshops open to individual enrolment, and corporate training programmes customised for specific organisations and teams.
Our public workshops are announced quarterly and cover topics including presentation skills, leadership fundamentals, confidence building, and professional networking. You can subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when new dates are announced.
Many clients report noticeable shifts in their confidence, communication and self-awareness within the first two or three sessions. Tangible professional outcomes — improved relationships, promotions, salary increases, enhanced performance reviews — typically emerge within 3–6 months of sustained engagement.
We are transparent that significant professional development requires honest effort and application between sessions. Coaching is most powerful when clients approach it with commitment, vulnerability, and a genuine willingness to practice new behaviours in their workplace.
From the first session, we establish clear, specific and measurable goals with every client. These are documented in a coaching agreement and reviewed at mid-programme and end-of-programme checkpoints.
For leadership and corporate programmes, we may use validated psychometric instruments (such as the EQ-i 2.0 or Hogan 360) at programme start and end to provide objective, quantified evidence of growth. For individual programmes, we use structured self-assessment frameworks and encourage clients to gather external feedback from managers and peers.
We take this concern seriously. If at any point you feel the coaching is not delivering value, we encourage you to raise this with your coach directly. The coaching relationship is a partnership — and honest feedback from you about what is and isn't working is essential information that helps us adjust our approach.
If after two sessions you feel the coach match is not right, we will offer a complimentary reassignment to another Sandstone Vista coach at no additional cost. Our satisfaction guarantee means we will work with you until we find the right approach or offer a pro-rated refund if we genuinely cannot meet your needs.
Yes — this is one of our core strengths. We design fully bespoke programmes for organisations based on a thorough needs assessment process that includes stakeholder interviews, team surveys, and analysis of your strategic priorities.
We do not sell off-the-shelf programmes to corporate clients. Every organisational engagement is designed from the ground up to address your specific team dynamics, culture, leadership challenges and strategic objectives.
We have delivered programmes for clients across a wide range of sectors including:
